Powersoft – MOVER DD

Mover is a low-frequency direct drive / tactile transducer, designed to make an audience feel the bottom end rather than only hear it. By vibrating the surrounding structure it stimulates the inner ear through bone conduction, which adds physical impact that a subwoofer alone cannot deliver.

DD (Direct Drive) uses an external coupler between the moving mass and the receiving surface, which allows an offset of roughly ± 15 mm. That makes it the version for floating floors, seats and platforms that move as a whole. The ID (Inertial Drive) version instead anchors to an immovable surface.

Which impedance

The 4 Ohm version is the straightforward choice for a small number of units per amplifier channel. The 12 Ohm (Hi-Z) version lets more units share one channel and is less sensitive to cable losses over long runs, which is why it is the usual pick for larger installations.

Typical applications: 4D cinema, theme park rides, motion seating, vibrating acoustic floors, immersive installations and studio/listening rooms.
