Powersoft – MOVER ID

Mover is a low-frequency direct drive / tactile transducer, designed to make an audience feel the bottom end rather than only hear it. By vibrating the surrounding structure it stimulates the inner ear through bone conduction, which adds physical impact that a subwoofer alone cannot deliver.

ID (Inertial Drive) bolts to an immovable surface — a floor, riser, platform or seating deck — and works against its own moving mass. The DD (Direct Drive) version instead couples its moving mass to a separate surface through an external coupler.

Which impedance

The 4 Ohm version is the straightforward choice for a small number of units per amplifier channel. The 12 Ohm (Hi-Z) version lets more units share one channel and is less sensitive to cable losses over long runs, which is why it is the usual pick for larger installations.

Typical applications: 4D cinema, theme park rides, motion seating, vibrating acoustic floors, immersive installations and studio/listening rooms.
